Special Interest Groups

The establishment of special interest groups is a priority, to help share best practice, poll opinion and give Yorkshire and Humber professionals an early insight into leading edge developments.

A Special Interest Group for Training Providers was initially piloted during the Yorkshire Forward ICT Vendor Skills Programme that ended in 2005. It clearly proved a popular and valuable option.

Under the remit of the Action Plan, the Training Providers Special Interest Group has been revived and market research is currently underway to ensure that an invitation is extended to as many representatives of colleges and other providers across the Region as possible.

The Training Providers Group is also being extended to include Education Providers and the programme will be themed to allow selective participation by those who are more engaged in short course options as well as those interested in education provision.

Early steps are in progress to develop a Local Authority Special Interest Group as well, again to share best practice and to discuss issues raised by the Action Plan.

If you have ideas regarding the programmes of either group, please contact us at: info@sero.co.uk.
