Welcome to the Digital 2010 Stakeholder Newsletter, keeping you up to date with developments in digital and ICT education & training across the region, from schools through to workforce development.

Digital 2010 is the name given to the Digital and ICT Skills Action Plan 2005-2009 for Yorkshire and the Humber, developed and managed by a regional partnership of key agencies working across the spectrum of schools, colleges, universities, communities and business.

You can find out more about this joined-up approach to the digital and ICT skills agenda in one of the UK’s biggest regions  by visiting the new online Digital 2010 hub.  Launched this spring, it contains details of the 37 Actions, who’s involved, what’s happening, news from partners, opinion pieces and project snapshots.

One of the key developments so far in 2007 has been the launch of two more Special Interest Groups, one for Local Authorities and one for Micro Businesses including voluntary and community organizations.  Meanwhile, the Education and Training Providers Group goes from strength to strength with next guest speaker, the acclaimed e-Learning Maturity Model (eMM) Developer, Professor Stephen Marshall.

And we’re supporting Becta in bringing the 'Harnessing Technology: Delivering the Future for Learners' event to Yorkshire and Humber in July.

So, please read on, visit the website, and get in touch.  We look forward to hearing from you with your news, ideas and views.
